New Wildcat Helicopter Unveiled At Farnborough

First Of 62 Delivered To UK MoD By AgustaWestland

The Defence Secretary has today unveiled the first of a new fleet of Wildcat helicopters, and confirmed a $358 million contract to support them. The first two of 62 Wildcat helicopters ordered by the MOD were handed over by manufacturer AgustaWestland at the Farnborough International Airshow.

Dream Chaser Passes Nose Gear Test

First Launch Planned For Later This Year

A successful test of the nose landing gear for a full-scale Dream Chaser engineering flight test vehicle has been completed by developer Sierra Nevada. The completed test and an upcoming flight test are part of SNC's Commercial Crew Development Round 2 (CCDev2) agreement with NASA's Commercial Crew Program.

New Moniker For The Airplane Previously Known As The A400M

The RAF's next generation military transport aircraft has officially been named Atlas at the Royal International Air Tattoo, which is taking place at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. Moves Number Of Operational Aircraft Past The Test Fleet

With the delivery of four Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II aircraft since June 29, an important milestone was achieved as the Department of Defense now possesses more operational-coded F-35s than test aircraft. A total of nine F-35s have been delivered for the year, giving the DOD a total of 30 aircraft fleet-wide. Of these, 16 are operational aircraft and 14 are test planes.

CHC Helicopter Signs Contract For 10 AW139s

Deliveries To Occur Over The Next Three Years

CHC Helicopter has signed a contract to acquire 10 AW139 medium twin helicopters over the next three years. These aircraft will be used to perform offshore transport missions in support of the oil and gas industry. This order will bring the total of AW139 helicopters operated and managed by this customer to 44.
