OK... we've heard every excuse in t he book as to why an airshow performance or routine has to be curtailed or canceled... and while they're usually more than valid and this one is most certainly serious... it's also the weirdest we've heard in a long time (and mind you, we've been at this for a while). Still; you have to admit canceling a much anticipated Blue Angels performance due to "High Seas" has to hurt.

Very Large Array (VLA) One of the world’s premier radio observatories, consisting of 27 antennas arranged in a huge “Y” pattern. The VLA spans up to 22 miles (36 km) across, which is roughly one and a half times the size of Washington, D.C. Each antenna is 81 feet (25 meters) in diameter.
