As part of an exclusive interview conducted just a few hours ago, ANN has learned that Alan Klapmeier is ready to disclose that he is putting together a team to purchase the Cirrus Vision Jet program from Cirrus Aircraft and majority investor Arcapita. With the knowledge and apparent blessing of both entities, Cirrus Co-Founder Klapmeier is raising funds to complete the purchase and development of the single-engine Cirrus Vision jet.

DENSITY ALTITUDE

Summer is on us, and that means we have to start paying a lot more attention to this one. It's the altitude at which a given density is found in the standard atmosphere. Used in aviation, it is computed from the station pressure at takeoff and the virtual temperature at the particular altitude under consideration.
