Company Will Help Maintain Mission Readiness Over 10 Years
The U.S. Air Force has named Raytheon Company as one of the prime contractors on the Training Systems Acquisition III (TSA III) contract. This allows Raytheon to bid on delivery orders on this multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a total ceiling value of $20.9 billion over 10 years.
Under this Air Force Life Cycle Management Center contract, Raytheon will compete to provide lifecycle management for aircrew, maintenance and systems-specific training systems on a global basis.
Wajsgras added that as a supplier of training services to the U.S. Army, Raytheon has made investments in systems, facilities and partnerships that have helped save the customer more than $300 million since 2007, "while performing at best-in-class levels of training effectiveness and efficiency."
Raytheon has developed the Automated Toolset for Lifecycle Activities and Services Management Information System (ATLAS MIS), a web-based suite of tools that enables real-time management oversight in the areas of finance, property and training device sustainment. In use for the U.S. Army's Warfighter FOCUS program, the system can accurately track more than 30 million spare and repair parts and provide lifecycle management data to more than 6,000 users and 150 companies across 400 locations around the world.
The company's Warfighter Support Center, a 200,000-square-foot lifecycle support, maintenance and sustainment facility, can ship training device spare and repair parts within hours to anywhere in the U.S., and in days to anywhere in the world. Raytheon also operates the Warfighter FOCUS Customer Support Operations Center (CSOC), located in Orlando, Florida, which monitors training sustainment activities around the clock and responds immediately to trainer requests and needs.
