TSA Reportedly Ready To Reopen Reagan To GA

It Could Happen Wednesday

If media reports are true, the clouds will open and a messianic light will shine down upon Reagan National Airport Wednesday. For the first time since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the airport will be open once again to general aviation traffic.

Pressured by both corporate aviators and members of Congress tired of taking commercial flights or trekking out to Dulles International, the TSA will reportedly allow non-commercial flights into Reagan National -- but only as long as a law enforcement officer is on board.

Time Magazine reports the charter and corporate flights will be most carefully screened by the TSA, which is set to make its announcement as early as Wednesday morning. Only 48 general aviation flights a day will be allowed into the airport, just a short distance from the Pentagon.
