RelmaTech And Network Designs Partner To Incorporate AirRegs Into UTM Services

Safer UAS Operations Enabled By Including A Unique Cloud-Based Aviation Regulation And Compliance Knowledge Center Application Within The UTM Services Suite

The UAS community stands to benefit enormously from a collaboration partnership between RelmaTech Limited, UK and Network Designs Inc (NDi), USA. The partnership, announced earlier this month at the AUVSI Xponential 2018 in Denver, Colorado USA, will offer a SaaS platform that incorporates NDi’s unique AirRegs comprehensive cloud-based, FAA Regulatory Documentation Application within RelmaTech’s Secure Integrated Airspace Management (SIAM) system.

‘This joint offering addresses a significant gap in the UAS ecosystem that will support fully, both the safety case and performance-based requirements that are necessary for safe operations in the national airspace’, both companies say. “Our SIAM system, which incorporates leading edge Local Broadcast and Network UAS ID and Tracking technologies, has already been supporting UAS operations for more than two years, and has enabled our partners and clients to achieve day/night BVLOS certification” says Simon Brown, RelmaTech’s Co-Founder and CTO.

“To have AirRegs available and combined with this unique UTM capability is a big step for the UAS industry”, adds Richard King, Director of Aviation and Technical Integration at NDi. “Although we only offer FAA regulations at the moment, the ultimate vision for this joint offering, is access to all global regulations and local rules, a la carte. Many of our potential customers, both within the UAS community and wider aviation industry alike, are delighted, at long last, to have all of the FAA Regulations and compliance documentation available in a single application. Knowing that the data is refreshed daily, where any search or browse always returns the current and relevant information in a pertinent and easily digestible and related format, is of significant value. This will not only underpin compliance, but reinforce safety, which is key.”

“We are delighted to be offering these two capabilities together. They will add huge value to the UAS community and, we hope, set a standard in support of a Global UTM structure. We have had tremendous feedback from our discussions within the AUVSI community about this initiative, and how this announcement is very timely for the industry”, said Brown and King.
