IFD440 Avionics Added To Jepp Single Aircraft Navigation Data And Charts Bundle

Jeppesen Services Suite Supplies Flight Data For Avidyne Series Avionics

Jeppesen and Avidyne Corporation have introduced new Jeppesen Services Suite bundled data packages for the IFD440 FMS/GPS/NAV/COM, featuring Jeppesen’s industry-leading navigation information and charting data. The new IFD440 data bundle service adds to the previously developed bundle for IFD540 FMS/GPS/NAV/COM and EX-S series multi-function display (MFD) avionics within a single aircraft.

The new IFD440 bundle services allow general aviation pilots to manage a single subscription to update multiple Avidyne avionics systems within their aircraft. In total, the Avidyne systems offered in the bundle also include the IFD540 and E-S series MFDs (EX500, EX600 & EX5000/C). The bundled, single aircraft pricing structure data package provides customers with a significant pricing discount, when compared to purchasing data subscriptions individually.

“The new Jeppesen Services Suite for IFD440 data bundle continues our effort to provide streamlined access to critical flight data for general aviation pilots who use Jeppesen navigation data with Avidyne avionics systems,” said Dan Schwinn, chief operating officer, Avidyne Corporation. “These bundled data services reduce costs and increase efficiency by simplifying data updates of multiple avionics systems using a single subscription service.”

Jeppesen’s industry-leading navigation data is included in the bundled service, including Jeppesen NavData, obstacle data, terrain data and charts. Several bundled service options are available – Jeppesen Services Suite for IFD540 and now IFD440, Jeppesen Services Suite Plus
IFR for IFD540 and IFD440 and Jeppesen Services Suite Plus VFR for IFD540 and IFD440, depending on customer requirements.

“This ‘one-stop-shop’ approach related to database updates and technical support provides the general aviation community with an improved flying experience,” said Scott Reagan, director, Jeppesen OEM Client Management. “Being able to update all avionics within a single aircraft greatly simplifies a complex process and the bundled data service approach provides a discounted subscription rate for our customers using supported Avidyne avionics.”
