See It For Yourself At Lakeland!
Elite Simulation
Solutions told Aero-News the company has received FAA approval of
its RC-1 Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD). The approval was
made official on March 29, following an evaluation of the device at
Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
The Elite RC-1 AATD is a full-featured training device with
life-size, high-resolution instruments and an external visual
system with a 60-inch DLP Display as standard equipment. The RC-1
includes simple, complex, and twin-engine aircraft modules with
associated three and six-lever throttle quadrants. In addition, by
connecting any handheld GPS and/or EFB, the RC-1 can serve as a
training platform for some of today’s most advanced
navigation systems. Optional items available for the RC-1 include
the Garmin GNS 430 or 530 GPS and vernier-style throttle
controls.
"The benefit-to-cost ratio just improved dramatically with the
new certification of our latest ATD," says John Dixon, Elite
President/CEO. "Following our low cost, high tech philosophy we are
proud to offer a device for under $30k that has the same flying
credits as an FTD level 3 trainer. Similarly certified devices are
normally tens of thousands of dollars more, often putting them out
of reach for all but the largest training organizations."
"The new RC-1 is a real viable option for smaller organizations
that want to integrate simulation technology into their training
programs, or for larger organizations needing several systems,"
Dixon added. "Simulation devices such as the RC-1 will continue to
play an important role in training and proficiency as aircraft
become increasingly sophisticated."
People attending the upcoming airshow in Lakeland, FL April 4-10
will be able to see the RC-1 AATD in person by visiting Elite at
booth D24/25.
