Bombardier Selects FACTS Training for 2005 Safety Standdown

For the sixth consecutive year, FACTS Training and AirCare have been selected by Bombardier Aerospace Learjet to provide emergency procedures and in-flight medical training at the 2005 Safety Standdown. This year's theme of "War on Error" will focus on the advancement of safety through reduction of human error.

From October 25th to 27th, over 400 crewmembers from corporate flight departments worldwide, the FAA, NASA, the NTSB, law enforcement agencies and all branches of the military will attend this seminar hosted by Bombardier in Wichita, Kansas. In addition to timely and dynamic presentations throughout the three-day event, participants will have the opportunity to personally experience the value of emergency preparedness and crew training through the use of state-of-the-art cockpit and cabin simulators, underwater egress and survival equipment included in wet ditching exercises, live fire and smoke training, and demonstrations with the latest innovation of FACTS Training… hypoxia awareness simulation using the FACTS ROBD™ (Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device). FACTS instructors are industry recognized for their expertise in safety and emergency procedures and for the passion from which they deliver this training.

Safety Standdown participants will gain knowledge on how to properly access, treat and care for ill or injured crew and passengers with the unique considerations of time, space and the altitudes of corporate aircraft. AirCare trainers provide hands-on emergency medical practice following the industry standards for the care of in-flight medical problems including practical first aid procedures, O.S.H.A Bloodborne Pathogens training, CPR, and use of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs).

FACTS Training is focused on a human-factors-oriented approach to emergencies, stress, and the importance of team training pilots and flight attendants to effectively respond to emergency situations.

"The objective of this three-day event is to improve corporate aviation safety. FACTS Training and AirCare are proud to have helped Bombardier to meet that objective since we were chosen to provide this critical training beginning with Safety Standdown 2000", said Doug Mykol, President/CEO of AirCare Solutions Group.
