S-Tec Earns STC For Roll Servo Install On SR22s

Provides Enhanced Capabilities For S-55X Autopilots

At a Wednesday morning conference at Sun 'n Fun, S-Tec Corporation announced the company has earned FAA-STC approval for the installation of the company's standard roll axis servo on Cirrus SR22 aircraft equipped with System Fifty-Five X autopilots.

"We have enjoyed a great relationship with Cirrus and are proud to be chosen autopilot onboard the world's best selling piston single aircraft," said S-Tec president Mel Hilderbrand. "It is and has always been our goal to provide Cirrus Design and Cirrus owners and pilots with the best autopilot system available. We strongly believe that this new roll servo STC will help Cirrus SR22 pilots get even more enjoyment and usefulness out of these amazing airplanes."

S-Tec says the roll axis servo maintains the original-spec roll trim capabilities, while also providing enhanced performance in roll response, approach authority, ILS tracking and autopilot roll axis control when the aircraft is flying on autopilot.

Perhaps best of all, the roll servo adds all of five pounds to the aircraft... making the decision to upgrade a not-so weighty issue. Pricing is available through S-Tec dealers.
