Eight Week Course For New Pilots, Or As A Refresher

Students just getting started in flight training and pilots who are looking for a refresher course in the ground school basics can take advantage of a series of webinars being offered by Bob Miller Flight Training. This program will be conducted both "live" at the Bob Miller Flight Training, Inc. classroom at the Buffalo-Lancaster Airport and broadcast over the Internet via webinar. Each session will also be recorded for later downloading and subsequent review by participants. The live webinars will be offered on Thursday evenings form 1900-2100 beginning October 21st.

Subjects to be taught include:

  • October 21 Basic Aerodynamics
  • October 28 Airplane Systems and Airworthiness
  • November 4 Flight Instruments and Aircraft Performance
  • November 11 Meteorology and Weather Service Products
  • November 18 Airport Operations and National Airspace System
  • December 2 Radio Communications and Navigation
  • December 9 Aeromedical Factors
  • December 16 Federal Aviation Regulations

Cost: $99.00 for either the live or webinar program. The school has a 30 person capacity at its Buffalo location.

Miller says the course is ideally suited for both new and active pilots wishing to develop and keep their basic aviation knowledge and aeronautical decision-making skills strong. By adding the webinar component to this program, participants can chose either to attend the "live" classroom session or participate from their home computer.  Students who miss one or more "live" or online webinar sessions, can download the missed session(s) and view them at a later date.
