Horrible Accident at Burke

He Was an Employee of the Cleveland Fed

Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland Statement on Employee Fatality:

We are deeply saddened by the death of one of our employees, Clyde Harmon, age 23. Harmon was fatally injured shortly after midnight at Burke Lakefront Airport. The National Transportation Safety Board, with the assistance of the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Cleveland Police Department are investigating, and we are cooperating fully with those investigations. Harmon had been an employee of the Bank's check processing department since February 2002.

Airport commissioner Kahlid Bahhur told the AP that the pilot in the airplane was given permission to move and started the engines, Bahhur said. Harmon, who had once left the airplane, then returned to the first airplane and ran into the propeller.
