Get On The Air With Us At AOPA Expo
Admit it: you've always wanted to be in broadcasting. Ask anyone
out there, and they'd likely tell you the idea of hearing their
voice on the airwaves puts a certain gleam in the eyes, if for no
other reason than to be able to look at your friends and say
"that's me! On the radio!" Were it not for this fact, call-in
talk-radio wouldn't exist... so really, we can only blame
ourselves.
Alas, not everyone can be Pete Combs (as Pete Combs often
reminds us, albeit in one of the best radio baritones out there)
but ANN wants to offer our faithful readers -- and listeners -- the
next best thing. Here's the plan: if you see one of our
Aero-Casters this week at the AOPA Expo in Tampa, FL, all you have
to do is walk up and say "I want to be on the air with ANN!"
If you've got what it
takes -- and enthusiasm is the ONLY requirement here -- then you'll
be able to record one of the short lead-ins/identifiers to one of
our upcoming Aero-Cast features, or promotional spots. Think of it
as 10-seconds of your time, leading to 10 seconds of fame that will
last for eternity (or at least as long as the Internet, and that
thing ain't goin' nowhere anytime soon.)
That's it. No money required (however, if we look hungry, a
granola bar might be appreciated...) So look for us at AOPA Expo,
in the Exhibit Hall AND on the flight line. We'll be easy to
identify in our Aero-News apparel, press badges, and
somewhat-demented looks in our eyes... because aviation really is a
good kind of crazy.
Remember: if it's IN the air, we'll have it ON the air... with
your help!
