Earlier this week, a Cessna 172 sought front-row seating the recent United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) that was occurring in New York City. This UNGA meeting marked the first time in three years that leaders from around the world gathered in-person for the 77th session. Some speeches were re-scheduled for a later time as many world leaders were paying their last respects to Queen Elizabeth II in the United Kingdom.
Starlink’s First Airline Customer Offers Complimentary Internet Connection
As the in-flight connectivity race continues onward, Starlink-equipped bizjet operator JSX publicized their recent speed test results achieved during a routine cruise. JSX (formerly JetSuiteX) was the first operator to sign a deal with the satellite-based internet provider earlier this year, standing apart from a crowd of ground-based networks aiming for the business aviation market. So far, the airline has been happy with the service, which they offer as a free perk for passengers as they look to build market share throughout their western stomping grounds.

Pilatus Aircraft Expands East Side Maintenance & Support
Pilatus Aircraft Ltd, a Swiss manufacturer of the popular PC- line of aircraft such as the PC-6, -12 and -24 has announced its takeover of Skytech Inc, a U.S.-based independent authorized sales and service center for Pilatus aircraft since 1993. The financial aspects of the deal has not been publicized, but Skytech Inc, in business since 1976, has operated its sales, maintenance, and repair facilities in Baltimore Maryland and Rock Hill in South Carolina for most of its existence, and both companies have worked together over the years.

His years of scholarship within the industry will be acknowledged on November 10th alongside 4 more individuals to take their place on the rolls. Davisson began his aeronautical career with a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1965, using the Thorp T-18 as a class subject in structural analysis. His work paid off when John Thorp recommended him for a job in California, where he soon experienced the homebuilt industry at the hands of the first T-18 to fly.
Partners with Local Flight School to Provide Turnkey PPL, CPL, Instrument Training
Wright State University and First Flight Aviation will be teaming up to offer flight training near the birthplace of aviation itself in Huffman Prairie, Ohio. The trustees of Wright State University have passed a resolution approving the provision of pilot training classes in the course catalog, allowing enrolled students to take them as electives. That method allows a more free approach to pilot licensure, allowing students to pick whatever major they please while working towards their certificates. Such a system stands apart from the norm in some schools, where flight school courses are gatekept for those within the appropriately aviation-themed majors.

Elektra Solar GmbH has won the prestigious eTrophy at the Eletcrifly-In competition in Bern, Switzerland. Elektra’s brand new two-seater UL Elektra Trainer aircraft beat out concepts from rival manufacturers Pipistrel and X-eye. Pilot Reported A Rough Running Engine, Followed By A Total Loss Of Engine Power
On September 14, 2022, about 2300 eastern daylight time, a Piper PA-32-300, N2104J, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Afton, Virginia. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the airport manager at Blue Ridge Airport (MTV), Martinsburg, Virginia, the pilot diverted to MTV uneventfully on September 10, 2022, due to weather. He purchased 72 gallons of fuel and return to Pennsylvania on a commercial flight.
