While there is not much yet to be heard to indicate what (at least) two lunatics were up to, Sussex Police have two arrests in the multi-day shutdown of Gatwick airport that inconvenienced thousands, cost millions, and cast a pall over a growing and potentially vital segment of the aviation world. Superintendent James Collis reported to the media, that, “As part of our ongoing investigations into the criminal use of drones which has severely disrupted flights in and out of Gatwick Airport, Sussex Police made two arrests just after 2200 on 21 December.
