The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has
announced the 2010 worldwide shipments and billings of general
aviation airplanes. Speaking at GAMA's "State of the Industry"
press conference, GAMA Chairman John Rosanvallon, president and CEO
of Dassault Falcon, reported that the global economic downturn
continued to negatively impact general aviation manufacturers in
2010, but that signs of a recovery have started to emerge.

At this morning's General Aviation Manufacturers Association's
(GAMA) annual "State of the Industry" press conference, President
and CEO Pete Bunce called for a more efficient, streamlined
industry-government partnership to continue economic growth and job
creation in general aviation manufacturing given new fiscal
realities.

disabilities. This civil penalty is the largest penalty ever

Chile's LAN Airlines has ordered an additional three Boeing

The NTSB has released a factual report in an incident which
injured a flight instructor and his student. The two experienced
one of the most harrowing things that could be experienced while

Alliance For Aviation Across America Says Essential Air Service
Funding Is Critical
Following last week's votes on the FAA Reauthorization
legislation, the Alliance for Aviation Across America praised both
the House and Senate for their progress on the bill.
The U.S. Air Force is raising concerns that a new G4 service to
be offered by a company called LightSquared which was recently
approved by the FCC will create so much interference that it could
render GPS units worthless.
Also Would Require Airlines To Specify Allowable Child Seat

Among the amendments which were passed last week as part of the
Senate version of the FAA reauthorization bill was one written by
Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME) which would
codify the so-called "three hour rule" limiting tarmac delays for
airlines.
Considered By Many To Be The Father Of Modern Aerial
Spraying
Leland Snow, founder and President of Air Tractor, Inc., and the
inventor of modern aerial spray aircraft, died Sunday morning,
February 20, 2011 while jogging near his home. He was 80 years
old.
