Aero-News Quote Of The Day (05.01.05)

"She was involved in everything. She single-handedly saved the country." Source: Cynthia Stroot, of the Defense Department's Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), speaking to the Raleigh News and Observer with tongue firmly planted in cheek. She was referring to 34-year old Lisa Jane Phillips, arrested recently for impersonating a military officer and eleven other criminal counts. Among the commendations she frequently wore with her surplus-store uniforms was  a European/North African Theater campaign medal from World War II, last awarded sixty years ago.
