USAF Pilots Bail, Cropduster Killed

A USAF T-37 jet trainer from Sheppard AFB has been involved in a Tuesday midair collision with a crop dusting aircraft. The collision shortly before noon local time at an altitude estimated at 5000 feet. The collision occurred over rural southwestern Oklahoma.

Meets All Expectations On Demanding Maiden Flight

Bombardier’s new-generation Global Express XRS business jet has successfully completed a rigorous 4-hour, 4-minute first flight, marking a significant milestone for the much-anticipated intercontinental aircraft. The flight occurred Jan. 16, according to the program schedule established at official launch in October 2003. The first Certificate of Airworthiness is expected shortly and customer deliveries of completed aircraft are on schedule to begin in the first quarter of 2006.

Wide-Cabin, High-Speed G150 On Schedule for First Customer Delivery in 3Q/06

Gulfstream Aerospace has roiled out the first wide-cabin, high-speed G150 business jet aircraft. First announced in September 2002, the G150 remains on schedule for customer deliveries in the third quarter of 2006.

Last Sunday, January 16, 2005, PrivatAir launched its new business class only private airline service between Zurich and New York's Newark airport on behalf of Swiss International Air Lines. Collision Avoidance and NVG Display To Be Installed On Eurocopter Fleet

Ryan International Corporation’s 9900BX Traffic Advisory Systems (TAS) and NVG Multi-Hazard Display’s (MHD) has been selected by the German Federal Border Police (BGS) as exclusive supplier of independent airborne surveillance radar for installation on the Eurocopter EC-135 and EC-155 helicopter fleet.

It rolls in when it wants to, covers everything in its path and makes visibility so poor you can barely see your hand in front of your face. It is what some in Karshi-Khanabad Air Base, Uzbekistan, call “the fog of war.”

“Remember, our government has ruled that any tsunami-specific donation made before January 31 of this year can be applied to your 2004 taxes. I know, personally, this gave me extra incentive to donate beyond my initial December gift as this tragedy further unfolds. Plus, AOPA will be matching all member donations up to $25,000.”
