Daher Scores Repeat TBM 960 Order at AERO Friedrichshafen
At the AERO Friedrichshafen trade show last week, Daher celebrated a notable business transaction with the signing of a repeat order for the TBM 960, involving German entrepreneurs Hubert Kristen and Peter Dirkorte.
This event, held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, underscores the continued appeal of the TBM 960, Daher's premier model in its lineup of highly efficient turboprop-powered aircraft.
Kristen and Dirkorte, business partners based in Northern Germany, have been utilizing a TBM 960 for their business travels since 2023. The new order, set for delivery next year, reflects their satisfaction with the aircraft's performance and its role in supporting the expansion of their company activities across Europe. The signing was attended by key figures, including executives from Daher's Aircraft Division and representatives from Rheinland Air Service, the authorized distributor for TBM and Kodiak aircraft in Austria and Germany.
Nicolas Chabbert, CEO of Daher's Aircraft Division, expressed gratitude for the trust Kristen and Dirkorte have placed in the TBM 960, highlighting its operational efficiency and low fuel consumption as vital attributes in today's environmentally conscious market. "Their new order highlights the TBM 960's benefits as a highly efficient travel solution within Europe," Chabbert noted during the ceremony.
Dirkorte remarked on the aircraft's excellent payload-range capabilities, which align perfectly with the logistical demands of their business. Both he and Kristen praised the TBM 960 for its cost-effectiveness compared to jets, and its ability to operate from shorter runways, thus increasing access to more airports--a significant advantage for their business operations.
A key selling point reiterated by Kristen was the TBM 960's advanced safety features, including the HomeSafe™ autoland system, which enhances flight safety, particularly for operations often conducted by single pilots. This technology offers not just safety but also peace of mind for the crew and passengers alike.
The Daher booth at AERO Friedrichshafen, part of the event's 30th anniversary celebrations, has been a focal point for attendees, featuring not only the TBM 960 but also the Kodiak 100 STOL utility aircraft.
